For its second Quadio release, Rhino Handmade gives "Respect" to one of the greatest singers of all time with a reissue of The Best Of Aretha Franklin, a collection of stone-classic soul music that was released in 1973 exclusively in Quadraphonic. Out-of-print for decades, this music-only DVD features unique quad mixes by legendary producer Tom Dowd that have not been available since the original release. Featuring four channels of 24-bit, 96 kHz audio (down-scalable to 24-bit, 48 kHz), this DTS DVD is to be played in a DVD player with Surround Sound in order to enjoy the Quadraphonic mix as intended. The release does not include a two-channel stereo mix. The Best of Aretha Franklin (Quadraphonic Mix) contains 12 tracks, including an extended version of "Rock Steady" with music by the Memphis Horns that was cut from the stereo version and can only be heard in this Quadraphonic mix. The disc also includes a rare version of "Chain Of Fools" with an extended introduction. This version was released in stereo in 1995 as part of Rhino's expanded edition of Lady Soul. These songs spotlight Franklin during her white-hot run with Atlantic Records and capture the singer at the pinnacle of her hitmaking prowess. The collection opens with "Respect," a song that topped both the Pop and R&B charts in 1967 and went on to become the singer's signature hit. The disc gathers many of the Queen of Soul's crown jewels and accounts for no less than eight #1 R&B hits, including "Baby, I Love You," "Spanish Harlem," "Don't Play That Song," "Call Me," and a cover of the Simon and Garfunkel ballad "Bridge Over Troubled Water." women's rights over the years
Non-Feminists, Considering how much has been done over the past 5 decades to help women....?

What the hell are the old >50 y.o. "modern" Feminists still complaining about? Surely, they can't be too upset about how things have turned out for them as they pertain to women's rights in the West.

So why do these old women remain on the same bandwagon as theh 12 year old feminists? Can it be anything else but their continued hatred for men?

It may be crazy Vlad theory, but .....

I think the reason that feminist leaders from decades ago are still fighting for women's rights; the same list of rights as the current generation of feminists, is much more than Misandry.

For the feminists that are 50 years old and above, they have integrated feminism into their self identity. A woman who has identified herself as a feminist for 30 years or more has made a life around being a feminist, and most of the high profile feminists, have made a career out being a feminist.

When a person's politics or religion becomes integrated into their self identity and their career, there are social and economic reprocussions to rethinking, doubting, or in any way questioning the core premise that has driven their life, and it is incomprehensible and virtually impossible for the person to change.

In order to continue the fight for feminism, three strategies have been employed.

1. Redefine what feminist issue are by expanding the definitions of feminist issues. Over history, feminism has added issues to their aganda and expanded the meaning of certain agenda items, "sexism" can be anything today, it all depends on "feelings" of the woman, the word "rape" has been expanded to include all sorts of things that were not considered rape prior to a few decades ago.

2. Expand your targets. Going world wide has created constant expansion.

3. Never, ever allow a feminist issue be resolved. Either redefine the issue generally enough to mean nothing and everything or just ignore any progress by repeating misleading information and belittling any opposition.

The new generation, jumps on the band wagon.
The indoctrnation process is complete and efficient, with feminism influencing all public schools and Universities offering a degree in "woman's studies".
